NPTEL Summer/ Winter Internship with stipend - 2021

National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) is a project of MHRD created to provide quality education to anyone interested in learning from the IITs. Every January and July, anywhere between 250-300 courses are offered online - free of cost - for anyone to enroll and learn from.

From 2018 summer onward, NPTEL has started offering internships to NOC exam toppers with the respective course instructors.

PRE INTERNSHIP - STEP 1

Eligibility and Selection:

NPTEL office will contact the course instructor to check if they can take in interns from toppers of their respective courses.
Depending on the availability and affirmation from the course instructor, the course toppers are contacted requesting them to apply for internship if interested.
The documents are sent to the Course instructor who decides on whether the candidate is eligible for the internship.
Course instructor decision is final in all matters with respect to selection of candidates.

Duration of internship:

NPTEL will be offering 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks internship.
Such internships are offered once in summer (May/June/July) and winter (Nov/Dec/Jan) each year.

Application:

The candidate should apply to NPTEL along with the following support documents to nptel-internship@nptel.iitm.ac.in

Copy of your resume
Last 2 semesters’ grade sheet

The application is forwarded to the course instructor by NPTEL.

Accommodation:

NPTEL will try to arrange for your accommodation in corresponding internship place, otherwise students try to self.

Stipend:

DURING INTERNSHIP - STEP 2

Report at NPTEL office on the first day
Fill up registration form
Meet with the concerned course instructor
Submit consolidated final report and feedback at the end of the internship

POST INTERNSHIP - STEP 3

Based on the course instructor’s feedback and your regularity as an intern, we shall provide you with:

Internship completion certificate
Stipend
And your name will be displayed in our internship portal

About of WorldSkill India:

WorldSkills India is an initiative of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship which has been leading India’s participation at WorldSkills International competitions since 2011.

WorldSkills India is responsible for the selection, development, management and participation of Team India in WorldSkills Competitions and other international competitions.

WorldSkills India makes the final decision on any issues regarding every stage of the International competition journey and selection processes.

Who can participate for WorldSkills 2021 ?

Any skilled person born on or after 1st January 1999 could participate in any of the skills mentioned below, with the exception to Aircraft Maintenance, Manufacturing Team Challenge and Mechatronics, where the candidate should have been born on or after 1st January 1996.

Eligibility Criteria:

> Meet the WorldSkills eligibility criteria, competitors for Shanghai 2022 must be born on or after 1 January 1999 for all skills apart from Mechatronics, Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, Water Technology and Information Network Cabling where competitors must be born on or after 1 January 1996..

> Candidates registered previously for IS-2020 must not register again for IS-2021 as they are already eligible to participate in IS – 2021.
> Any candidate registered earlier and eliminated before or at State Level Competition for IS - 2020 is not eligible to registered again for IS-2021.

Overview:

Applications are invited for Summer Internship at CSIR-CMERI in 2021 from students who would be completing the 6th Semester of their Engineering courses by May/June 2021 [at] IITs, NITs, and from other reputed Universities and Engineering Colleges of the Country.

Duration: 4 to 8 weeks during Summer Vacation (May to July of 2021)

Eligibility criteria:

B.E/B. Tech students are eligible for the Summer Internship program after completion of their 6th Semester in any of the disciplines mentioned above.
