   IIT GANDHINAGAR SUMMER RESEARCH INTERNSHIP PROGRAM - 2021



Overview:

                           The flagship program strives to bring together students and faculty from prominent institutions across the country right here on our campus. It will allow visitors to participate in on-going research projects, undergo mentorship by IITGN faculty and develop close partnerships and collaborations between respective institutions.

For whom (Eligibility):

              Students pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a prominent institution in India.

Duration: 

       At least 8 weeks within summer break of IITGN. The last date for receiving applications is April 26, 2021.

Requirements:

  • Applicants are required to work with an IITGN faculty. Applicants are advised to review the list of participating faculty along with the description of projects being offered.
  • Applicants may apply for internship based on their interests and prior experience. They are free to apply for projects outside of their declared degree specializations.
  • Applicants will be required to make a presentation to the institute and submit a report at the end of the tenure.

 

Owing to the pandemic situation, SRIP 2021 will be conducted in both offline and online modes:

  1. Online mode: In this mode, students selected for a particular project are expected to work online. This mode is open for the students of IITGN as well as other academic institutes. The summer interns will not be paid any stipend for online projects; they will be provided with a certificate after successful completion of the internship.
  1. In-person/offline mode: In this mode, the students are expected to work on the project in-person and interact with the faculty mentor on a regular basis while staying on campus. This mode is open to IITGN students only. The interns will be entitled to receive a stipend and a certificate on successful completion of the internship.

Provisions for student interns (in-person mode):

  • Weekly stipend of Rs. 2000 during the internship. The stipend for faculty funded projects, however, may vary. 
  • Hostel accommodation will be provided to the summer interns (for in-person mode) and students are required to pay the applicable hostel charges.

Overview:

We encourage applications from skilled and motivated young people to serve as interns at NeGD for the DigiLocker project. The purpose of the internship is to provide an opportunity for individuals to substantively contribute and learn from our work. The intern will be given specific tasks and responsibilities and will be challenged to develop their capabilities and gain experience. The intern is expected to be flexible and provide time-bound delivery of the assigned task.

The opportunity is available in area of:

  • Mobile Developer (Android)

Time Commitment

Generally 3-12 months, to be mutually agreed


Conditions

Internships are on a voluntary basis and Intern is not entitled to wages or a promise of employment at the completion of the Internship. No office space will be provided and interns will have to work from home. OpenForge platform (https://openforge.gov.in) will be utilized by the interns for collaboration and to submit their work for review.

About of NHRC: 

The National Human Rights Commission has expressly been mandated to promote Human Rights literacy and awareness vide Section 12 (h) of the Protection of Human Rights Act, 1993. With a view to spread awareness among University students about the need for protection and promotion of Human Rights, the Commission has been regularly conducting Internship Programmes’ since 1998.  

Duration:

16thApril , 2021 (Friday) to 30th April, 2021 (Friday) (15 days).

Eligibility:

(i) Students studying in 3rd year and onwards of any integrated 5 year PG course 
(ii) Students studying in 3rd / final year of graduation course
(iii) Students of any semester/year of any post-graduate degree course 
(iv) Students of any semester/ year of any post-graduate diploma course 
(v) Students who are research scholars in any stream. 
 a minimum of 60% marks in Class XII and all subsequent courses including the presently pursued courses. 

AWARD and Stipend:

 All the student interns successfully completing the internship would receive a stipend of Rs. 2000/- (Rupees Two Thousand only)

• Certificate of participation will be awarded to the candidates on the basis of following parameters: Attendance, Punctuality, Discipline, Participation in online sessions is mandatory; Project Presentation & Project Reports and Book Review have to be submitted timely
